Reliable DID solutions for modern communications.
Linquix LLC provides scalable DID (Direct Inward Dialing) solutions for businesses, telecom carriers, contact centers, and CPaaS providers across the United States, Canada, and international destinations.
Our DID services are designed to support high-quality inbound communications with reliable routing, flexible provisioning, and enterprise-grade scalability.
Direct Inward Dialing (DID) is a phone service that enables a phone number to ring directly to a specific phone at a business rather than going through a menu or queue and dialing an extension.
Your business’s Private Branch Exchange (PBX) is connected to a group of phone numbers through this service, and you can place outgoing calls using Direct Outward Dialing from your office phone system.
DID provides businesses with dedicated phone numbers that receive calls directly from customers — resulting in faster responses and more efficiency. DID implementation can generally boost customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness.
A DID number is a local phone number associated with a particular location or country, unconnected to an additional physical phone line. From the customer’s perspective it looks like any standard telephone number — but it is a virtual number that routes directly to a location or an extension in your company. You can think of it as a short route to a phone line.
Direct dial numbers point inbound calls to a company’s phone system. As the number relays callers to an individual user, it is known as a direct number — and the VoIP phone system manages the call routing.
DID works in one of various ways:
VoIP is the most flexible and modern way to implement virtual direct dialing, using SIP trunking. With SIP, the trunk line connection is available when necessary — virtual links across broadband networks, configured internally, with a software application linking the numbers to your extensions.
DID over VoIP is scalable by nature. If a sales campaign next month requires 30 new trunk lines, there’s no need to speak with your telephone provider, wait for numbers, and have technicians connect trunk lines to your PBX. In the traditional setup companies had to wait for weeks at substantial cost — with DID lines, VoIP providers can provision them directly.
VoIP systems have many features that take time to learn — but with most VoIP providers offering professional onboarding and support, it has gotten much easier for companies.
